Victor: angrily I can’t believe you did this, Margaret. I can’t believe you stole all that money from the charity.
Margaret: defensively I didn’t steal anything, Victor. I was just…misplacing it for a little while.
Victor: sarcastically Oh, I see. So you were just “misplacing” tens of thousands of pounds. That makes perfect sense.
Margaret: pleadingly Victor, please. You have to believe me. I didn’t mean to do anything wrong.
Victor: firmly I don’t believe you, Margaret. And I’m not going to sit back and let you get away with this. I’m calling the police.
Victor picks up the phone and dials
Victor: into the phone Hello, I’d like to report a crime. My wife has stolen a large sum of money from a charity and I have evidence to prove it.
Margaret: horrified Victor, what are you doing? You can’t do this to me!
Victor: coldly I’m doing what’s right, Margaret. You’ve betrayed me and the charity. You deserve to be punished.
The police arrive and arrest Margaret
Margaret: tearfully Victor, why are you doing this? I thought you loved me.
Victor: sadly I did love you, Margaret. But you destroyed that love with your actions. You have to face the consequences of what you did.
Margaret is taken away in handcuffs as Victor watches, a mix of emotions on his face
